Healthy Altitudes

Happy and Healthy Altitudes to You!

This week’s reboot is all about getting out of your comfort zone—which, in my case, means willingly getting covered in mud. Yep, I despise mud. Hate it. Would rather wrestle a cactus. And yet, here I am, caked in the stuff, proving that sometimes stepping outside of comfort means stepping directly into discomfort.

I wasn’t alone in this wild adventure, though. My nephew Mikey and my kiddos joined me in the madness, and we all rocked it (literally—there were rocky hills involved).

Comfort Zone? We Don’t Know Her.

So, what stood out the most today? I asked my adventure crew:

“Probably going under the muddy wall.”

“Slipping and sliding in the mud.”

“Going up and down the really rocky hills—with cactuses.”

Mud? Rocky cactus-covered hills? This is starting to sound less like a personal growth experience and more like a survival challenge.

For reference, that muddy wall wasn’t just a decorative splash of mud—it was a literal 3- to 4-foot-deep pit where you had to completely submerge yourself. Because if you’re not gasping for air and wondering where your shoes went, are you really pushing your limits?

This Week’s Challenge: Find Your Mud

So, here’s your weekly reboot: Take a couple of minutes and plan your discomfort. How are you going to step outside of what’s easy and familiar?

Does it mean:
Driving a tank?
Braving a storm?
Going under mud or dodging cactuses?

Whatever it is, embrace it. Growth isn’t clean—it’s messy, chaotic, and sometimes requires a shower or two afterward. But it’s always worth it.

Until next time—stay bold, stay muddy, and remember: Why did the scarecrow become a motivational coach? Because he was outstanding in his field. 🌾😆

See you next week!
